Where Architecture Meets Nature
The multifamily residential building is located in Sofia’s Vitosha district, in the Belovodski Pat area. The project follows the natural slope of the site, with the lowest level partially embedded into the terrain and accommodating the underground parking and part of the residential spaces. Pedestrian and vehicular access are functionally separated and organized in response to the different levels of the site.
The architectural concept is based on a composition of interlocking brick volumes, shifted and layered in relation to one another. Their arrangement follows the natural topography, creating a seamless connection between the building and its surroundings. The setbacks between the individual volumes form spacious terraces with different orientations and give the building its distinctive silhouette.
The material concept reinforces the architectural expression through brick-clad façades, with the direction of the brickwork emphasizing the proportions and movement of the individual volumes. The surrounding landscape is similarly developed on terraced levels and complemented by linear planting and mature vegetation, integrating the building into the natural character of the area.
The residential programme combines maisonettes and three-bedroom apartments, distributed from the ground floor to the third level. Some of the residences have direct access to the surrounding landscape, while the generous terraces strengthen the connection between the interior spaces and the natural environment. The underground level accommodates parking, technical and service areas, with provisions for an accessible environment.
